Jewish Tradition of Burial

The tradition of a formal Jewish burial ground has been in existence since Abraham insisted on purchasing the cave of Machpelah to bury Sarah (Genesis 23:12).  The establishment in 2012 of the Ner Tamid Jewish Community Cemetery allows Jews and their immediate families to purchase plots in the Napa Valley for that purpose.

Policies have been established that adhere to Jewish guidelines for interment, services and symbols and may be obtained through the office of St. Helena Cemetery
or through the Ner Tamid  Cemetery Association, info@napavalleynertamid.com
